The FUJIFILM XF 18mm f/1.4 R LM WR is a wide-angle prime lens designed for FUJIFILM X-Series cameras, offering a 27mm equivalent focal length on APS-C format sensors. This fast lens features an f/1.4 maximum aperture, enabling reliable performance in low-light conditions and providing precise depth-of-field control with smooth bokeh rendering through its nine-bladed circular diaphragm. The optical design incorporates 15 elements in 9 groups, including three aspherical elements and one ED element, which work together to deliver corner-to-corner sharpness with minimal distortion.
The lens includes weather sealing that protects against dust and moisture down to 14°F, making it suitable for outdoor and inclement-weather photography. A linear autofocus motor enables rapid, near-silent focusing in approximately 0.04 seconds with a minimum focus distance of 7.9 inches, while the internal focusing mechanism permits smooth manual focus control. All optical elements feature Super EBC coating to reduce flare and ghosting while improving contrast and color accuracy, and the lens weighs just 13.1 ounces for portable everyday use.
