The FUJIFILM XF 56mm f/1.2 R WR is a portrait-length prime lens designed for APS-C-format Fujifilm X-mount mirrorless cameras, providing an 85mm equivalent focal length. The lens features an exceptionally fast f/1.2 maximum aperture that excels in low-light conditions and offers outstanding depth-of-field control for selective focus techniques. Its optical design comprises 13 elements in 8 groups, including extra-low dispersion and two aspherical elements, which work together to minimize aberrations, color fringing, and distortion while achieving high sharpness and clarity.
The XF 56mm f/1.2 R WR incorporates weather-sealed construction with nine rubber seals and a fluorine-coated front element to protect against dust, moisture, and fingerprints while maintaining full functionality down to 14°F. An eleven-blade rounded aperture diaphragm delivers smooth and pleasant out-of-focus highlights, and the Super EBC coating reduces lens flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color accuracy. The lens has a minimum focusing distance of 1.6 feet, making it ideal for portraits, weddings, and commercial applications requiring precise control over depth of field.
