The FUJIFILM XF 8-16mm f/2.8 R LM WR is an ultra-wide zoom lens for FUJIFILM X-mount mirrorless cameras, offering a 12-24mm equivalent focal length with a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture throughout the entire zoom range. The optical formula includes six extra-low dispersion elements with three Super ED elements to minimize chromatic aberrations, along with four aspherical elements that suppress distortion and spherical aberrations for enhanced sharpness. A Nano-GI coating reduces ghosting and flare in bright lighting, while the linear motor autofocus system delivers smooth and nearly silent operation.
The lens features extensive weather sealing at 11 points, enabling reliable performance in harsh environmental conditions including temperatures as low as 14°F. With an angle of view spanning from 121° to 83.2°, a minimum focus distance of 25 centimeters, and a compact design weighing 1.8 pounds, this lens is well-suited for landscape, architectural, and environmental photography applications.
