The bright f/2 maximum aperture enables excellent low-light performance and extensive control over depth of field, while the optical design incorporates three extra-low dispersion elements to minimize chromatic aberrations and color fringing. A Super EBC coating reduces flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color accuracy in strong lighting conditions.
The lens features a weather-sealed construction with seven distinct seals for protection against dust and moisture, allowing reliable use in harsh environments and temperatures as low as 14°F.
