This Special Edition lens features a vintage-inspired design with checked knurling and a retro NIKKOR logo that echoes classic Nikon film camera aesthetics. The bright f/2 maximum aperture provides excellent performance in low-light conditions and enables selective focus techniques through shallow depth of field control.
The lens incorporates a stepping motor autofocus system that delivers quiet and smooth focusing performance for both stills and video, with full-time manual focus override capability. Two aspherical elements in the optical design minimize spherical aberrations and distortion to achieve high sharpness and accurate rendering.
