About the Nikon Nikkor Z 50mm f/1.2 S
The Nikon NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.2 S is a fast normal-length prime lens designed for Nikon Z-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras. The bright f/1.2 maximum aperture provides exceptional low-light performance and extensive control over depth of field for selective focus work. Advanced optical elements including two extra-low dispersion and three aspherical elements deliver sharp imagery with minimal distortion and chromatic aberration, while ARNEO and Nano Crystal Coatings suppress flare and ghosting for improved contrast.
The lens features a dual-motor autofocus system with stepping motors that deliver fast, accurate, and quiet focus performance suitable for both stills and video. Notable features include an integrated OLED information panel for confirming aperture and focus settings directly on the lens, a programmable control ring for adjusting focus or exposure, and an assignable function button for quick access to camera settings. The lens is dust and moisture resistant with a nine-blade rounded diaphragm that produces appealing bokeh.
