About the Nikon NIKKOR Z DX 12-28mm f/3.5-5.6 PZ VR Lens
The Nikon NIKKOR Z DX 12-28mm f/3.5-5.6 PZ VR is an ultra-wide zoom lens designed for the Nikon Z mirrorless system, offering an 18-42mm equivalent focal length on APS-C cameras. This lens features Nikon's innovative Power Zoom technology, which uses an internal linear motor to enable smooth, silent, and precise focal length adjustments with eleven selectable zoom speeds. The lens incorporates 4.5 stops of Vibration Reduction to stabilize handheld photography and video work, along with a stepping AF motor for quiet autofocus performance.
The compact and lightweight design measures 2.8 inches in diameter and 2.5 inches in length, weighing just 7.2 ounces, making it suitable for gimbal work and extended handheld use. With a minimum focusing distance of 7.5 inches and a dust- and drip-resistant construction, this lens accommodates both macro-style close-up shots and challenging environmental conditions. The 12-element optical design in 11 groups includes extra-low dispersion and aspherical elements to deliver sharp imagery with well-controlled distortion across the zoom range.
