About the Rokinon 8mm f/3.5 Fisheye Lens (Canon EF)
The Rokinon 8mm f/3.5 Fisheye Lens for Canon EF is an ultra-wide-angle lens designed for APS-C format cameras, offering a 167° diagonal field of view that produces dramatic, exaggerated perspective effects. The lens features hybrid aspherical elements and multi-layer coating to deliver sharp image definition while minimizing flare and ghosting. With manual focus operation and a minimum focusing distance of 1 foot, this lens supports close-up capture and includes a built-in petal lens hood.
When used with full-frame digital cameras or 35mm film cameras, the lens produces a circular image that floats within the frame with visible vignetting. The compact optical design comprises 10 elements in 7 groups, and the fixed f/3.5 maximum aperture enables consistent exposure in various lighting conditions.
