This Sigma 150-500mm f/5-6.3 APO DG OS HSM lens is an ultra-telephoto zoom lens designed for Canon EF-mount full-frame DSLRs and compatible with APS-C format cameras, where it provides an effective focal length of approximately 225-750mm. The lens features a Hyper Sonic Motor for fast and quiet autofocus with full-time manual focus override, along with a rear focus system that maintains optical quality throughout the focus range.
The optical construction includes three Special Low Dispersion glass elements and an APO apochromatic design to eliminate chromatic aberrations, while the DG lens design and Super Multi-Layer coating reduce flare and ghosting. The built-in Optical Stabilization system compensates for camera shake, delivering the equivalent of shooting 3-4 stops faster and enabling handheld telephoto shooting in low-light conditions. The lens includes a detachable rotating tripod collar, lens hood, and carrying case for convenient use and transport.
