The Sigma 24mm f/3.5 DG DN Contemporary Lens is an ultra-wide prime designed for L-Mount full-frame mirrorless cameras, offering a compact and lightweight form factor ideal for travel, landscape, street, and reportage photography. The optical design incorporates three aspherical elements and one Special Low Dispersion element to minimize distortion, chromatic aberration, and color fringing while maintaining excellent sharpness and color accuracy. This lens features a 1:2 maximum magnification ratio with a 4.25-inch minimum focusing distance, enabling close-up shooting capabilities alongside its wide field of view.
The stepping motor autofocus system delivers smooth and quiet focusing suitable for both photography and video work, while the manual aperture ring with 'A' position allows flexible exposure control. Construction includes a dust- and splash-resistant brass bayonet mount, a rounded seven-blade diaphragm for refined bokeh, and weather sealing for operation in inclement conditions. The Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces ghosting and flare to deliver contrast-rich, color-neutral images even in challenging lighting situations.
