The Sigma 20mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens is a premium wide-angle prime designed for Canon EF mount full-frame DSLRs, offering an exceptionally fast f/1.4 maximum aperture ideal for low-light and shallow depth-of-field applications. The optical design features 15 elements in 11 groups, including two FLD elements, five SLD elements, and two aspherical elements that work together to minimize chromatic and spherical aberrations while controlling distortion. A Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting to deliver high contrast and color-accurate imagery across the lens's 94.5-degree angle of view.
The lens incorporates a Hyper Sonic Motor for fast and quiet autofocus with full-time manual focus override, allowing precise control when focusing as close as 10.9 inches. Built from Thermally Stable Composite materials with a brass bayonet mount, this lens provides robust construction for reliable performance across varying temperatures and conditions. Additionally, the lens is compatible with the optional Sigma USB Dock for fine-tuning focus parameters and firmware updates.
